Hotel Juli

The hotel is in terrible condition. The photos seem to be old, from when it was somewhat new, and it looks like it hasn't even been cleaned since then.

For the price, the room is a great option, and finding a room these days can be hard. The balcony was huge, a nice place to have a meal, and the room and bathroom were cleaner than I expected. Beds were above average quality for Bulgaria. The hotel photos seem to be from before the pandemic, so be ready for how the building looks now. The lobby still matches the pictures. My room felt a little old and could use renovation, but I like the place and will certainly stay again. The location is wonderful, with the sea reachable in five minutes.

The only thing going for this hotel is that it's somewhat close to the beach. The photos don't match the place at all. Our room walls were dirty, things were poorly built and didn't work, including the door. The included breakfast was terrible, even the cheapest market food was better. We booked a double but got twin beds. When we asked to change, we were told no double rooms were available and to push the beds together ourselves. Wi-Fi was down around 80% of the time. The terrace at the entrance shown in the photos is now a nightclub, with loud music all night. Good luck getting any sleep. I wouldn't return.

We checked in nearly half an hour after check-in time, but our rooms were filthy and had no sheets. We waited several more hours for the rooms to be cleaned. The beds were just two mattresses side by side, so a couple trying to sleep close together could end up falling between them. At night you can hear music, and in the morning light comes into the room. Reception's Wi-Fi didn't work on the second floor. There was another network, but nobody knew its password. Parking cost 20 leva a day and was just a dusty patch of land with a barrier. After a six-hour drive, my girlfriend asked to use the bathroom. The receptionist told her there wasn't one except in the rooms. Later we saw the bathroom, and she could at least have been honest and said she didn't want to let her use it.
