Rubi Aparthotel

The food and drinks on the all-inclusive plan were as poor as the rest of the hotel. Most of the food looked disgusting, as did the dirty serving trays. There were about six dishes and two salads, mostly the same things every day for five days. Breakfast was identical each morning, and boiled eggs were about the only thing you could eat. The coffee was instant, and they served one kind of colored water and called it juice. There was a small lobby bar with beer and cheap-looking local alcoholic drinks, no cocktails, if you could find the barman. There were only five staff, none in uniform, including the receptionist, who was the only one who spoke English. They ate among the guests. Two older people who looked like janitors coughed into their hands, then handled food without any protection. It's not suitable for smokers either, with only about three ashtrays and never one available. The pool was tiny, maybe okay for children, so it won't suit people who love swimming pools. We didn't like much about this hotel. Our apartment had two rooms and a bathroom. The living room had a little useless kitchen with no vessels, and mold on one wall. The smell was terrible, so we didn't use that room. I doubt anyone could stay in there longer than they could hold their breath, so I won't even get into how dirty it was. The bedroom had breathable air and working air conditioning. The bed was a decent size and comfortable, made from four mattresses stacked two on top of two without a frame. The sheets were old, dirty, covered in hair, and white with yellow-brown stains. There was also a blanket with blood stains, really gross. When we asked for fresh sheets, the cleaning lady used Bulgarian and body language to say they had been washed. After we insisted, she brought another sheet that was just as stained. The dressing area was a decent size but full of stains, and the nightstand had enough dust to write your name in. The floor was dirty and stained too. The furniture quality was decent, but doors, windows, and other things seemed badly installed. The bathroom was a good size, with a decent shower cabin and thankfully no bad smell, but it was still dirty and there was a badly repaired hole in the shower floor. The main apartment door had no peephole, but you could see the hallway right beside it. Not that one seemed necessary, since the cleaning lady came in without knocking anyway. This hotel made our holiday uncomfortable and disgusted us, so I can't recommend staying here.

The service was awful, and the food and drinks were complete trash. Don't trust the fake reviews, this hotel is a total letdown and not worth spending money on. Even if I got a free stay, I wouldn't come back.

The rooms are huge and come with a fridge, and the receptionist was lovely. Things are great here apart from the lack of easy access to hot drinks at night.

All the staff looked after us well, and every room had a washing machine.
