Summer Dreams apartment

The open trench, about 100 mm deep, ran around the outside path and inside too for our whole stay. It seemed like a great way to break an ankle. We were also dropped off on the wrong side of a busy road, then had to walk about 200 yards to the entrance. There isn’t really a reception area, and I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it. Our room was very basic, so we had to change rooms and pay extra for an upgrade. The queen-size bed had sheets that were too small and threadbare. They changed the sheets and towels only three times in 14 days. The bathroom leaked constantly, and all they provided was a mop and bucket. The pool uses seawater, but it was never cleaned or netted. There were leaves, seagull feathers, and sand on the bottom. Children kept diving in despite the warning against it, and some wore shoes. A gang of children ran around noisily until 11 pm with no supervision. This place doesn’t seem geared toward UK guests.

The rooms are disgusting. The shower barely worked most of the time, and there was nobody available to report the problem to.

We only considered coming back because of Maggie, the lovely woman behind the bar. On arrival, our room wasn’t what we thought we’d booked. The curtain pole was stuck to the wall with celotape, and the toilet seat was broken in two places and patched with celotape too. Reception were rude, useless, and unwilling to help. They didn’t seem to care at all about the state of the apartments.

We booked a studio for three, but it was cramped and tiny, with a sofa bed for the third person. The kitchen had very few dishes and no dishwasher or soap, which matters when you’re eating in. They told us by phone that we could pay by card, but the next morning they insisted on cash. I’d rather keep my money on my credit card, which feels safer, but they just told us to go get cash from an ATM. They hadn’t even bought a contactless card terminal in 2020. Shameless.
