The food was a nightmare. Meal times are squeezed into just one hour: 8 to 9 in the morning, noon to 1 for lunch, and 6:30 to 7:30 in the evening. Breakfast was mostly unappetizing cheese imitations, overcooked pasta, eggs and tomatoes left from the night before. Lunch and dinner were much the same, with rice, beans, tomatoes, cucumbers and boiled vermicelli day after day. Sometimes there was a boiled chicken leg or meatballs made from a very obvious mince of unclear origin. They put out small trays, so if you arrive late, it’s gone. I wouldn’t wish this food on anyone. The rooms were filthy too. The mattresses and floor were dirty, the walls were painted, the bathroom smelled like a ferret, and the toilet was broken. One star is already too generous. How can you treat people this way in the 21st century? I hope nobody sets foot in this sorry excuse for a hotel.

The pool we used was large and clean. We didn’t try the second one, and the beach is a reasonable 10-15 minute walk away. The room had decent furniture and smelled lovely, but one towel was torn and another towel and the sheets were dirty. We had meals included, but the hot food was put out once and that was it. If there was enough left when you got there, fine; otherwise you got whatever remained. There wasn’t much choice to begin with: bread, butter, sweets, cheese, salami and macaroni at breakfast. There’s no internet unless you pay extra for a card. The advertised playgrounds, animation and kids’ centre were way over the top and didn’t match reality. The elevators need a chip, and the outside is covered in adhesive foil. There’s plenty to improve, including the walls and the area by the parking lot, where rubbish, chairs and other things are scattered around. They should put money and effort into fixing the place. A little courtesy toward new arrivals would help too. Being told five times that we had to leave the room by 10 a.m. felt insulting. I’d read the conditions already, so once would have been enough. We wouldn’t come back.

We booked three double rooms with full board through Maestro Travel agency, but on arrival they offered us one large apartment with three double rooms and two bathrooms. We had to accept because otherwise we would have had to leave. The accommodation looked nothing like the agency photos. The staff were polite, and the pool was the only real plus. The beds weren’t good, the air conditioners didn’t work properly, and the food was repetitive, with just three or four dishes served throughout the day. The bathroom toilet leaked from the back and smelled unless you flushed water around it. It’s a 15-minute walk to the beach. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

We stayed with our family from 21.-01.7.2020, and all of us would give it a clear five. The beach was clean and warm, about a 10-minute walk with a baby, and it was cleaned and leveled each morning. The staff were kind and helpful, the cook was excellent, and there was plenty of tasty food. Our two-room apartment had a bathroom and terrace, and was clean; the fish are cleaned every day. The hotel grounds were attractive and clean inside and out, with several blocks and four pools, two large and two small. The water was always clean. There’s parking on two sides of the complex, watched by a night guard.

We came for a children’s soccer camp, but there was almost nothing for kids. There were just two swings, no playground or entertainment program, and the soccer field costs extra. The food didn’t suit children at all. It was the same limited menu for seven days: sausage, hot dogs, chicken, potatoes and pasta. Breakfast had cereal but no milk or yogurt, only sour milk. For regular milk, you had to buy it at a store. They only had herbal tea. There are strict rules around the complex. The pool opens at 9 a.m., and if you go earlier, you’re told to leave. Before 8 a.m., you’re expected to keep quiet outside. The pool is closed from 2 to 4 p.m. for nap time, and at 11 p.m. everyone has to go to bed. Break that rule and they’ll first fine you €100, then call the police. This feels more like a boarding house for elderly people than a place for children or young people.
