Secrets Sunny Beach Resort Spa

The views were breathtaking, and we had a wonderful 10 nights. The hotel was spotless and stunning, and the staff were always willing to help. Food was plentiful, with amazing ice cream and cakes. I do think they could offer a bit more for English guests, though you certainly won’t go hungry. The beds were comfortable, but kept sliding apart. The pillows felt like sleeping on clouds, absolutely lovely. I don’t usually write reviews, but this place deserved one. I’d return a million percent. Thank you, secrets, for such a great stay.

The pool was absolutely freezing, and I wish they’d heated it for the cooler months. We ended up avoiding it, leaving the sea gulls to make more use of the swimming pools. I’d really been looking forward to swimming too. On days with bad weather, there was no sign of the entertainment staff. Other resorts put on games and activities to get everyone involved, so those days felt very long. Some music around the pool might help too. The food was really good, the best I’ve had at other Dreams, and the pizza was amazing. Room service was top notch. The drinks selection was a little limited, but the quality was better than at other Dreams and secrets resorts. I also loved the fish tanks. I was surprised to find plastic straws and disposable plastic cups. Other Dreams and secrets use reusable plastic cups that they wash, which is more environmentally friendly. The hotel itself was very clean, but next door at dreams there were plastic cups everywhere. They were going into the sea and rolling over to secrets. I was shocked, because the sea is so beautiful here and they didn’t seem to care.

The hotel is ideally placed near the quieter end of Sunny Beach, close to Sveti Vlas, with historic Nessebar just a bus ride away. We had lovely weather as well as stormy days, and the staff helped us through both. The facilities were excellent, and the bar and restaurant staff were impeccable. Highly recommended. We liked the comfortable beds, daily restocking of the fridge, and the room service. The staff were lovely and there was a good range of food. It’s an adults only hotel in a very good location. Just bear in mind that by the end of September the season is nearly over: many shops are closing or already shut, and trips may not run or have as many available days, especially when the weather’s poor. We’d recommend the hotel and the area.
