It's okay.

I stayed here for 14 days in July 2018 with my wife and our 10-year-old daughter. The price for what we got was fairly good, though I'd give it 7 out of 10. I can see it working for a first family holiday in Bulgaria, but there are better spots on the Black Sea Riviera. The apartment had two bedrooms, air conditioning, and a private bathroom with toilet. It was clean, and came with towels refreshed every 7 days, soap, a hairdryer, and an iron. The kitchenette was basic, with just one knife and one pot, among other limited supplies. The old, dented mattress was very dirty, the window frames were damaged, and the AC unit on the balcony was noisy. The shower had no tray, so water kept spreading across the floor. There was no mop or floor cloth, and water also leaked around the hot tubs. Payment was cash on the first day, in euros or Bulgarian leva, with about a third of the total due by bank transfer before arrival. It's roughly 50 meters to the beach, where there's a free section and a place to camp by the sea. The guesthouse has around 12 rooms and sits in a busy part of Sunny Beach, about 7 km away by road, amid hotels, restaurants, shops, and other buildings, close to traffic. The private gravel and dirt parking area is about 20 meters away, with no attendant or monitoring. We got a free Wi-Fi password that worked well from three transmitters, and a 10% meal discount card for the bistro bar on the property, overlooking the small pool, which we could also use for free. The pool water was heavily chlorinated. The street facing rooms were extremely noisy. Being close to the port and nightlife meant noise building from 5 PM until dawn, making rest impossible. The noisy, often intoxicated Russian guests were a major part of what spoiled the place for me. There are shops nearby, including self-service ones that take cards, but prices vary and can be much higher. A hypermarket about 2 km away had lower prices than in Poland and competitive sales. Several nearby exchange offices all offered the same rate, so there was no need to shop around, and exchanging euros for leva was still worthwhile. There are plenty of restaurants and pubs, though pushy, rude waiters made eating out a challenge. The owners called while we were on the way to ask when we'd arrive. Staff spoke English, Russian, and Bulgarian, and everyone was generally friendly, helpful, and polite. Sometimes they seemed reluctant to bother us with organizational or social matters. When my daughter became ill, though, no one provided information about local public health facilities where she could use her European Health Insurance Card. As hotel guests, we got no help finding this important information, which was complete ignorance.

Dimitar, the owner, is tireless, polite, and always smiling. This cozy restaurant deserves a visit. The service is quick, and the food is consistently fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced. The best restaurant!

The prices are low and the place is cheerful, maybe because they prefer local customers. On my first visit the food was just so-so. When we came back wanting takeaway, we waited about five minutes as the busy-looking waiters hurried past and shot us unhappy sideways looks. Nobody came to take our order, even when they weren't busy. They seemed to want us to leave, so we did.
