Bendita Mare Aparthotel

The apartment itself was great, and we liked the quiet and the lovely sea view during our October stay, when the place was almost shut down. I’m not sure how pleasant it would be in high season. Several nights, though, an annoying repeated foghorn-like sound came from the sea in the direction of Varna port. It got louder when the wind blew our way and was still easy to hear with the windows shut. Once I noticed it, I could barely ignore it, and it ruined our sleep.

Getting down to the beach and resort was easy, just walk down the steps. I stayed here with my family in July 2010, when I was 12, so this may be an outdated review, but I wanted to share the experience. Our room looked onto the forest at the back rather than the sea. It was a good standard, though with one bedroom it suited two people better than three. The pools, bar, ground-floor restaurants and reception all felt lavish and comfortable. I still remember the waitress’s funny personality, which made time at the bars fun. It was a fantastic stay.

The pool is clean and well cared for, and there are plenty of nearby places to get food at a good price. The location is beautiful, and the rooms are great, although they can be a little confusing to find. I’m going to try the spa tomorrow, since the facilities look clean and well maintained.

The rooms are spacious and clean, and this aparthotel has pools and a good view. Parking is the drawback: it costs about 10£ per night, but a space isn’t guaranteed, so you pay and then have to look around if none is free. Having to pay extra for wifi is annoying too, especially in 2024. It’s nonsense.
