Grifid Encanto Beach Hotel

The poolside view was lovely, and the staff were so good with our baby. They seemed to have everything covered, including baby food, ice cream, snacks, and cocktails. The people were very nice, the food was great, and the beach and pool areas were so relaxing. Service was incredible, they even refilled my glass as soon as it was empty!

We had no bad experiences all week. The staff and restaurant team were consistently friendly, attentive, and helpful. The room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, and the shower was a 10 out of 10. The hotel may be older, but it’s very well maintained and clean. The food selection was broad, with themed cuisine nights to keep things interesting, so there was something for every taste. The desserts didn’t taste entirely homemade to us, though that may just be personal preference. Drinks and coffee at the main bar on the first floor were outstanding, and it became one of our favorite places to relax. The beach and infinity bar were good too, although the coffee there wasn’t quite as good, which makes sense with different equipment. The lovely beach and clean, enjoyable sea were another plus. We also made good use of the spa, with several saunas, indoor pools, and a rooftop infinity pool, all included in the all-inclusive package. It was especially relaxing on cooler days. The hotel has only minor shortcomings, and fixing them could earn it another star and make it a true five-star destination. We’d highly recommend it.

Getting into the resort center was easy, either by train or with an evening walk, and having the hotel’s own beach was a real bonus. The rooms were clean, the place was tidy, and the restaurant staff were quick and friendly. There was plenty of seating inside and on the terrace, so finding a table was easy. The food had lots of variety throughout the day, the alcoholic drinks were well made, and the pools were looked after well. The infinity pool has a great beach view and a bar, and there was a lifeguard at the indoor pool. We came for the May 1st mini break, a long weekend in Romania, and the hotel was fully booked. There weren’t enough sunbeds at either pool, and guests saved them with towels, so not everyone could use the facilities equally. I raised it with the hotel, but was told they couldn’t do anything and that it doesn’t happen during peak summer. Breakfast had a couple of frustrating waits. People didn’t keep to the pancake queue, and with 30 minutes left in breakfast service the chef stopped making extra pancakes. The coffee line also took about 15 minutes each morning, with just one machine for so many guests. It would be good if the hotel found ways to reduce food waste, too.

We’ve been to Encanto Beach three times now. The location works really well for both the beach and evening activities, and the food is great. Staff are friendly, especially the animation team, who brought lots of energy to activities our kids enjoyed. Dara and Deni were excellent. Such fun!
