Hotel Lilia

There weren’t enough sunbeds, so many guests had nowhere to sit by the pool, and the all-inclusive package came with limited choices and poor service. The food was repetitive and had little variety. I also got food poisoning on the last day, which made me worry about food hygiene and safety. We had booked sea view rooms at Lilia Hotel in Golden Sands, but were given standard rooms on arrival. We only got what we’d paid for after calling the agency. It seemed the hotel had overbooked, which is unacceptable. Parking costs 20 leva a day, isn’t free, and apparently needs to be reserved a month in advance. That wasn’t clearly explained ahead of time and was very inconvenient for guests driving there. This was nowhere near the promised four-star experience. To me, it felt more like a two-star hotel. I wouldn’t recommend it or return. Management needs to rethink the service, transparency, and facilities. I left a photo with the sea view ;)

The food was good and the rooms were comfortable, and we’re sure to come back. The bartender from Ukraine was so kind and pleasant that we didn’t even want to leave the bar. We’ll be back.

The location is great, and the service and food are standard. The WiFi at Hotel Lilia is terrible, though. Staff say the hotel is busy, but rooms on the first floor have no coverage at all, and the signal in the lobby is very weak, so it’s not possible to work. The owners don’t respond to inquiries. Families and business travelers will be unhappy with the lack of WiFi.

I spent 13 days here and came away very satisfied with the value for money. The location is excellent, and the hotel is very good. Rooms are spacious and cleaned regularly, while the WiFi stayed stable throughout and was free to use. There was always enough good food and drink at the restaurant. The staff were kind and friendly, especially Ivan at reception. I’d be happy to return.
