Olymp Hotel

The location is perfect, and the facilities are good for different sports. The restaurant's food and service were poor, so eating somewhere outside is preferable.

There's an eco path through the woods starting right in front of the hotel, and the views from every side are great. The rooms are spacious and clean. It's a good choice for a sports holiday, with a large sports area for basketball, football, tennis, and more.

The portrait of Vladimir Putin in the restaurant and a copy of the New Testament in our room felt like the hotel was pushing beliefs on guests. I don't mind religion or politics, but I don't think a hotel should do that, especially with a portrait of a politician I see as a corrupt villain. People were smoking in the restaurant, which was very unpleasant and illegal, and the owner was there but could have stopped it. Our room was clean, though the bathroom smelled very bad. The staff were friendly, and the food was OK, but I expected more: there was only white bread, which I don't eat, and more variety would be good. For the price, it wasn't worth it.

The rooms were clean and tidy, and the hotel has good sports facilities: fitness, a volleyball court, and a football field right out front. Teteven is a small mountain town with the Vit river running through it. The hotel itself is otherwise pretty ordinary, with nothing special about the food or service. The town isn't especially remarkable either, and summer seems the better time to visit.
