Grifid Arabella Hotel - Ultra All inclusive & Aquapark

This was our fourth year at Grifid Arabella, and we’d had a great experience on each of our earlier visits. This time money was stolen from our room, which was shocking and deeply unpleasant. That’s why I’m giving one star, to draw attention to this for future guests and for hotel Top Management, so they can make sure guests’ belongings are protected and take steps to prevent this happening again. It seems staff already knew about the problem, and other cases had been reported. By Top Management I mean Mr. Grigor, the owner of Grifid Hotels. The local team, Mrs. Vanya, Dana, and Vadim, followed the standard procedures again, as they had in similar earlier cases, but those procedures haven’t worked. We’re waiting for the Police report. I hope stronger precautions are put in place, especially with refurbishment due to start soon.

We had a really nice holiday at the start of May. The weather was good for that time of year, and the pool was clean. Our room was spacious and renovated, it was cleaned, and the fridge was refilled every day. The young people at the bar were lovely, always smiling, and people seemed keen to have us back. For us, it was very nice. Don’t pay attention to the haters. They paid a certain price and expected more than what they paid for.

The location wasn’t ideal, and I wouldn’t recommend it with a baby or toddler. There’s loud music from 10 am to 11 pm, then you can hear nearby clubs until about 2 am, though that was only in the rooms facing the beach. The rooms themselves were nice and cleaned well, and the service was good. But hygiene was really bad, and I got a virus because of it 🥲. The indoor restaurant tables were cleaned properly, but the outdoor ones weren’t even wiped.

The hotel’s location is OK, but the staff let the experience down. Reception knew very little about the facilities, including the aqua park, and didn’t even know where the night bar was, despite it being five meters away in the basement. At the beach there weren’t enough mattresses for the sun loungers, and staff got irritated when I asked for one. Booking the fancy à la carte restaurants online seemed pointless because they always showed as full, even though they looked empty in the evenings. The back of the indoor dining room at the main restaurant constantly smelled like vomit. I don’t recommend it.
