Palitra Family Hotel

I needed somewhere at short notice for the night. I arrived after work hours, so I had to check myself in, but it was easy. The hostess explained how to do it through the booking chat. The room was clean and tidy, with everything I needed. The air conditioning did leak, though.

The rooms are modern, elegantly decorated, and have the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Palitra Rooms is in central Varna, a lively coastal city in Bulgaria, just minutes from the beach and attractions like the Sea Garden and Roman Baths.

Pretty nice.

The terrace was a lovely extra, and I could hear birds singing in the trees nearby in the morning. I stayed one night at the Palitra Hotel last weekend. I called almost at the last minute and was lucky to get a room. The receptionist was very nice, and I was pleased with how clean everything was. The towels were white, clean, freshly washed, and smelled nice. The toilet was clean too, and there was mineral water, coffee and sugar for two, plus a kettle. The bed was comfortable, and it was quiet at night. The furnishings were decent and comfortable, not luxurious but not old either. I know some previous visitors left negative reviews, but my stay was a good one. Reception is open until 6 pm; I don’t think that’s anything illegal. I assume they also use modern ways of getting in, like codes. I had no trouble opening the door when I got back at 9:30 pm, following the instructions I’d been given. The hotel isn’t close to the beach or train station, but bus 39 stops 50 meters away and goes straight to the train station. I didn’t mind walking, though that bus was very convenient with luggage and dropped me right in front of the station. I’d recommend the hotel.
