It was clean and tidy, and the beach is about a 15-minute walk away.

The sea is nearby, and the surroundings are peaceful and beautiful. I love Bulgaria, and this felt like a little paradise. There's no kitchen of its own, but the listing doesn't say there is one. Instead, there's a lovely garden with a barbecue area, grill, and charcoal always available. Several grocery shops and cafes are within easy walking distance, and you can order really tasty pizza for delivery, so finding something to eat wasn't a problem. Kamen, the hotel owner, is welcoming and friendly. He's happy to explain things and give advice, and it's nice to chat with him.

The place was quiet, but it was far from the sea and the yard had become overgrown with bushes. When the lights went out, there was nobody at the hotel to contact about the problem. I ended up speaking to the cleaning lady, who called the owner, and then we discussed it by phone.

We had booked a room ahead of time, but when we got to the hotel, there wasn't one for us.

There was a clean TV, but no coffee, breakfast, or restrooms.
