The hotel was right in the center, close to shops, historic sights and good food. My family and I felt very welcome, thanks to the lovely, polite owners. When we left, he helped us and shook our hands with a big smile. After the long drive, the pink entrance room was a great place to arrive to, with free fruit, cookies, coffee and everything we needed. We also liked sitting there in the evening, chatting, playing board games and having warm tea. This was our favorite hotel on our Bulgaria and Romania trip. My family and I would highly recommend it 😄

I was with my 3 years old kid, hoping to get something to eat and drink in the lobby of hotel Kiev. Nobody was at the bar, so we waited near the door to see if we could sit down. Then a woman suddenly appeared and began yelling that we shouldn't be there. I apologized politely for coming in and tried to explain that we thought we could have a snack. While this was happening, my kid picked up a basic bonbon from the self-service welcome treats. The woman came over and violently took it from her hands. I've never experienced such violent behavior in front of my kid, anywhere. Hotel lobbies around there are open to people who aren't guests. I had no idea this one was only for clients, and I wouldn't have insisted on staying if someone had politely told me. Please be careful, the woman in charge of this hotel is dangerous. I don't want to imagine what she might do if one of her guests upsets her.

Tasty breakfast and coffee, with a cozy, clean room and a lovely lobby cafe that’s great for insta photos. Amazing place right in the city center, and the Team are very friendly.

The room was spacious and clean, with a nice view over town. The furniture and decor are a little dated, but everything worked and was well maintained. Hotel Kiev is in a convenient spot, within walking distance of the main sights, including Tsarevets Fortress and the charming streets of the old town. A quiet, central place to stay while exploring Veliko Tarnovo, and good value for the price.

The staff are amazing, and they have delicious elderflower juice at reception. Such an awesome, cute place. Recommended to everybody!
