Aqua Viva Spa Hotel

We left a day early because of extremely loud noise from the room above. We raised it several times, then spoke with the manager. He hadn’t acted on our first complaint, made two days earlier, and was very impolite. He offered no reimbursement and charged us the full stay, saying there was no way to return any money. The hotel was noisy in general too. Early morning vacuuming and ringing room phones could be heard loudly enough to wake us. The included restaurant breakfast didn’t offer much variety.

Evenings felt a bit empty, with no lounge or games room to spend time in after dinner. The spa was ridiculously small and so crowded it was uncomfortable, and the masseur wasn’t good. The holiday experience could be better: useful little things like a hairdryer and water jug were missing, the bath accessories were very low quality, and the double bed was made up of two beds instead of one large one. Your choice.

Definitely not a 4 star hotel. Staff were unfriendly, the food was the bare minimum, and the spa facilities were far too small. If they tell you to park behind the hotel, don’t follow their advice, unfortunately, you may end up with a 50 Lev fine. Even after several requests during our five-day stay, our room wasn’t cleaned once.

There’s a beautiful park almost right in front of the hotel, and the center is about a 10-minute walk away. I liked everything about the hotel, especially the food, service, and spa.
