The view is lovely and peaceful, and the place is quiet, convenient, and affordable. The beds are comfortable too. A few things could be better: the pillows are too big, the toilets need liquid soap, and there’s no power outlet for either the microwave or the kettle.

We spent about six days here in December to celebrate Bahrain 🇧🇭. The location was nice, near Chez Sophie and the Amwaj Lagoon, and we stayed in a room rather than one of the larger apartments. The hotel was okay overall, but cleanliness was only so-so. It was a bit cold in the room, and although we asked for a heater, the windows were locked and couldn’t be opened. We also couldn’t use the internet because staff said the “system was collapsed.” The gym had good equipment, though its windows couldn’t be opened either. We didn’t use the restaurant, so I can’t comment on it. If you want to extend your stay by a few hours, they charge 15 BHD or 30 BHD any time after 6 p.m., even if you don’t plan to stay past midnight.

Amwaj Islands is a handy spot, with the beach, supermarkets, cafés, and restaurants nearby. The staff were polite, helpful, and quick to respond, which made the stay easy and stress-free. At Gulf Suites Hotel Amwaj in Manama, my room was spacious, clean, and well maintained, and the bed was comfortable. It was quiet and relaxing, suitable for both a short visit and a longer stay. Good value for money, and I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Bahrain. 🇧🇭
