I had a terrible stay. The staff were rude and unhelpful. They first took me to a room that wasn't clean, then moved me to another one. All they provided as amenities was a sachet of shampoo and lotion. I asked for a towel the night I arrived; after asking again, they said the team was having dinner and would bring it afterward, but nothing came until the next morning. A towel is basic. There was no complimentary water, tissue box, soap, toothbrush, or toothpaste in the room. The washroom was dirty and hadn't been cleaned properly. I don't know why they still run this place. Please don't stay here.

There were insects in the room, which made it very uncomfortable, and the kettle smelled unpleasant and looked dirty. The room didn't seem properly maintained, and housekeeping was poor. Cleanliness was far below what I expected, and service and upkeep need major improvement. The worst hotel stay 😔😔

The front desk staff were rude and unhelpful when I asked for help. The hotel was extremely dirty: bad smells in the rooms, poorly cleaned carpets and bedspreads, and filthy tea cups and kettle that looked long unwashed. An electrical socket seemed unsafe and gave me a small shock. There were no basic bathroom amenities, and maintenance overall was very poor. The room rate may seem cheap, but Agoda and the hotel charge separately, and neither gives one invoice covering the total. Very disappointing and unprofessional. Avoid Monroe Hotel, especially with family. 0 out of 5 stars.

I checked out without staying the second night, and spoke to the owner/manager in the morning. He was extremely rude. The room was filthy and nothing worked. The travel site's photos showed a supposed 4 star hotel that was nothing like reality. Avoid this awful place at all costs. You've been warned.

The staff were helpful and friendly, and the room was spacious. We stayed recently with family in Al Hoora, where shops and restaurants are nearby, so the location was very convenient.
