Stout Apartments

The apartment is nice and spacious, and the kids’ play area is a bonus.

My biggest concern is security. I entered through the front, back, and parking entrances, and nobody stopped me. I never saw a guard near the property. With more than 100 flats and lots of children around, anyone could get in and steal something. In Bahrain, most apartments have security at reception who check details before letting people in. Al matrook management is a joke here. Try walking in through the front and back entrances yourself. The rent doesn’t match the amenities. The gym is useless, the swimming pools are dirty, the furniture is very basic, and there isn’t even a carpet in the living hall. The apartment is small and cramped, and many appliances are missing. In the bathroom, you have to push the water toward the drain hole with a wiper, which suggests the construction was done by inefficient engineers. There’s no water dispenser, the lighting isn’t proper, and the kitchen is very small with no space. The basic bathroom has nowhere to put things, the wardrobes are too small and have no shelves, the beds and sofas are very old, and the tiles are ugly. Efficient management could have prevented all four of these problems.

The building isn’t well maintained, and the hallways and lift always smell terrible. Kids run around banging on doors, and the noise carries inside the flat. They also hold the lift on one floor while playing with it, leaving other tenants waiting a long time. I’m looking for another place to stay.
