The Oxford House

Oxford House has a peaceful atmosphere that feels quietly social, and I met several other guests who were just as impressed with their stay. The location is safe and walkable, close to restaurants, shops, and downtown Hamilton. My room was spotless and beautifully furnished, with tasteful classic charm that made it feel more like home than a hotel. The linens and furnishings were thoughtful and high quality. Service was warm and genuinely hospitable, and the staff handled everything with grace and professionalism. Breakfast each morning was simple, fresh, and delicious. The relaxed evening happy hour was a lovely way for guests to get together. It’s an elegant boutique experience with a personal touch. I wouldn’t hesitate to return and recommend it for business or leisure.

Our cruise itinerary changed at the last minute, so on a whim we stayed at Oxford house while in Hamilton. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the St George room was very clean. At happy hour they offered cheese, crackers, light snacks, and alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Breakfast was excellent, with bagels, cereal, hard-boiled eggs, and quiche for protein. I highly recommend the place.

The innkeepers were kind and welcoming, and helped make our babymoon special and beautiful. The inn is walkable to shops, dining, bus and ferry stations. We had daily room cleaning, continental breakfast in the morning, and wine and beer at afternoon happy hour. We’ll stay here again!

Oxford House was a great base for exploring Hamilton during part of our Bermuda trip. There are plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance. The service was excellent, our room was a good size, and the bathroom was very modern. I’d definitely come back if I’m in Bermuda, though I am a boutique hotel guy.
