Apart Hotel Regina

The apartment was spacious, the beds were comfortable, and the TVs were okay. One bedroom had very little natural light because its window was tiny. The pool and other facilities are at their Tiquipaya location, where they apparently have massages or some kind of spa, but you have to make your own way there. The ride takes 30 minutes and costs 35-40 Bs each way. It would have been nice if the hotel covered at least one trip. Once we arrived, they just pointed out where the pool was. Communication between the hotels was awful. They didn't know we were coming, and someone else was listed under our room number, so we stood there like we were asking to get in for free. We couldn't charge meals to our room because we were from another hotel. To open a tab, we had to leave ID, and then remind them to return it. They gave us no guidance at all. I left a small bag in the changing room and contacted the Cochabamba hotel on Tuesday. They said they'd check and call Tiquipaya, but days went by with no news. When I followed up, they told me I should have contacted Tiquipaya myself. I did appreciate being allowed to check in early in the morning. We had a 7 am flight with a toddler and a senior who badly needed rest, and they accommodated us after we arranged everything by phone. On Monday night we had a late flight, so we paid for Monday even though we left before 7 pm. Still, we'd paid for two nights and only slept one, so shouldn't that mean two breakfasts? I asked if we could have the second breakfast on the day we arrived, since we'd be leaving Monday and miss it, but they said no. We were starving, had been up since 5 am, slept badly, and didn't feel like going out at 9 am to look for food. They said upper management would audit who attended and what breakfasts were served, even though it was a buffet. We paid an extra 45 Bs per person on top of the full two nights. My toddler and mother enjoyed the breakfast spread, but aside from the early check-in, everything else was average or disappointing.
