The service was great, and the breakfast was really good. My room was spacious and very nice, too. There’s a swimming pool tucked into a quiet garden. I did have an issue with the hot water, but maintenance took care of it. I’d happily recommend the hotel.

The presidential suite was the best part of my stay at Hotel Camino Plaza. It was beautifully decorated and the bed was comfortable, which earns the extra star. The rest was disappointing. Check-in dragged on with just one person at the front desk, and nobody offered to help with our luggage. The romantic dinner arrived cold and bland, breakfast was mediocre, and the staff didn’t seem very attentive. I didn’t feel welcome, and I don’t think I’ll come back.

We booked at the last minute and got a spacious, clean, well-equipped room, which was a pleasant surprise. The trouble was its location at the back of the building, near the event space. An end-of-year party kept the music loud until midnight. The hotel is pretty big, so it probably isn’t an issue in the front rooms. We were just unlucky.

Breakfast is always amazing, and once we were moved to a suite the next day, everything was good. The night before was miserable, though. An electrical short in the heating system left us sleeping without heat, and the staff tried their best, but it was too late for anyone to help. Then the person in the room next door kept the TV blaring until 5:30 am. We barely slept between the cold and the noise. I’ve stayed here several times since it opened, and the hotel needs better upkeep. It’s still worth staying, as long as you arrive early enough to get any problems sorted out.
