The heating didn’t work, and the concierge pushed back when I asked to change rooms. The staff were very kind, though, and breakfast was nice. It was a fairly good place to stay for a work trip.

The service is what I’ll remember most. A few nights into my stay I woke up very ill, and by morning I was almost too weak to stand. I wanted to see a doctor, but I was in a foreign country and didn’t speak the language, so I was worried I wouldn’t get the help I needed. Michelle, the owner, arranged an appointment at a local clinic and spent the whole morning taking me there with her father and translating for me. Over the next few days, as I recovered, Michelle and the staff brought breakfast to my room, got me over-the-counter medicines when I needed them, and checked in on me. That level of care went far beyond what I’d expect at a hotel. I’m very grateful for Michelle’s decency and the way she runs the place. When I return to Cocha, I know where I’ll stay. My room was comfortable and I slept well every night. The location felt safe, with an easy walk to desirable areas in downtown Cocha, and the complimentary breakfast was always satisfying. All of that came at a very reasonable price. I can’t recommend this charming little hotel highly enough.

A good little serviced guesthouse. It’s clean and the service is its strongest point. The weak spots are breakfast and the swimming pool, which is an ice-cold pond with an arctic seal vibe.

Clean, pleasant place with friendly people and a great breakfast. A good place to stay.
