The owner was so nice to us, and it was a very good hotel. They wanted payment in dollars.

The staff were completely rude and unhelpful. They overcharge people and seem to hope nobody notices. When you question it, they threaten you, falsely accuse you of doing something wrong, and make you leave. The hotel is 30 minutes on foot from the town centre, down a dark, dirty back street with aggressive dogs around. Probably the worst hotel in the entire world. You'd be better off sleeping in a roadside gutter than giving this business your money.

I could get a quiet night's sleep, with heating, towels, a hot shower and a decent breakfast, so my stay was mostly positive. The staff, though, weren't friendly at all, which is why I'm not giving five stars. Having their children around reception and the breakfast area didn't feel professional. I wanted a quiet breakfast, but they played video games right beside me with the sound on.

The rooms were fine and had hot showers, and the breakfast was average. But I wouldn't recommend this place. The laundry cost about $20 for 3kgs, and my washing was mixed up with someone else's. The reception was often empty or staffed by children. When an adult was there, they barely greeted you and mostly stayed focused on their phones. The worst part was the location. Uyuni centre isn't a nice place to stay in general, and the hotel's street was miserable, with mud and unfinished buildings. It takes 20 minutes to walk to the centre, and it's not a pleasant walk. I'd only suggest staying here if you're desperate for somewhere cheap for one night in Uyuni.
