I didn’t stay a single night. I saw a price online for a specific room, but when I arrived in person they quoted me a significantly higher amount and wouldn’t match the online price. If I’d booked online, I could have had the cheaper rate for all four nights. Was I supposed to sit in the lobby on my smartphone and book it there? I walked out and found another hotel. Oblitas Hotel got no money from me and a one-star review for this practice. I was there with my bags and cash ready to pay for four nights and spend money in the restaurant, but they sent me back onto the street to find somewhere else. How nice it must be to have so much money that you turn away a potential customer. Is advertising one price online and charging much more in person a smart business decision? Is it ethical?

The receptionist seemed arrogant and unfriendly, and honestly, I don’t recommend this place. I’ve traveled to over 20 countries and have never encountered one who treated people this way. It left me wondering whether I was paying for a service or being paid to put up with that treatment. For the same price, there are better nearby options if you want to avoid these problems. I think they should hire someone friendlier and more energetic, since their receptionist doesn’t seem enthusiastic about the job.
