The hotel offers good value for the price, with comfortable, well-maintained rooms, friendly and helpful staff, and a decent breakfast that works for a business trip or short stay. The location is handy too, with cafes, restaurants, and other services close enough to walk to. There’s no room service, but nearby restaurants deliver, so that wasn’t a big problem. The air conditioning can be annoying because it blows very strongly. The bigger thing to fix is the taxi service, which was inconsistent. Some drivers looked poorly presented, one smelled of cigarettes, and some cars weren’t very clean. On hot, humid days, air conditioning wasn’t always available in the cars. Better transportation standards would noticeably improve the stay.

We had a special request in the evening, and it was taken care of within 15 minutes. The service was top class. Breakfast was really tasty, especially the different breads, and the room was lovely. Santa Cruz was very hot, but the air conditioning cooled the room quickly.

We arrived on day one with confirmed bookings for four rooms made through booking.com, only to be told at reception that previous guests were still in them. The receptionist offered to move us to a nearby hotel at a cheaper rate. It looked to us like Hampton had mishandled a double booking. We asked for the manager, but a random staff member in the same uniform as everyone else showed up claiming to be the manager. He couldn’t even get the rooms we’d booked freed up. The worst management ever!

The breakfast was among the best I’ve had outside Europe, and I loved the waterfall shower. My first stay here was a real pleasure. The staff were very pleasant and handled all my requests, including helping when I needed to rebook a flight and stay an extra day. The room was spacious, and I’ll stay here again.

There was excellent water pressure, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and provided great service. Breakfast was the best I’ve seen at a hotel, with lots of options. Restaurants, cafes, a supermarket, and a pharmacy are all very close. There were always one or two taxis outside.
