We spent a week at Spanish Friends School, taking lessons and staying there, and had a wonderful teacher in Veronica. She made new material easy to understand, worked on the areas we struggled with, and kept class fun. My two friends and I were traveling through South America and wanted to work on our Spanish in Bolivia, so we felt lucky to find it. The hostel felt like a welcoming family home, thanks in part to our friendly host Gabriella. If you're heading to Cusco to study Spanish or simply want a relaxing stay, I'd highly recommend Spanish Friends School.

We liked the place enough to stay longer, and the staff were really welcoming. The value is great. The mattress could use replacing, though, since ours sagged in the middle and felt pretty flat. A bathroom mirror would help too. Still, I'd recommend it without hesitation.

Gabriela made the classes at Spanish Friends School enjoyable and easy to talk through. I came away more confident speaking Spanish, and would suggest it to anyone looking to get better at conversation. The price and quality are both great.

Really enjoyed my week at Gaby´s hostel. The Spanish classes were great, and everyone was lovely and eager to help me improve. The hostel itself was great too, with a well-equipped kitchen, a pleasant courtyard, and a lovely big balcony. We could eat dinner there or even fit in a little workout.

The teachers are lovely, and the school and hostel work well if you're after more intensive lessons with few distractions. Getting to the centre takes a 15-20 minute walk, or there's a bus for 2 bolivianos.
