The facilities left a good impression, the hot water worked well, and the restaurant food was good. We paid by card. We stayed one night with two adults and a child. The reception staff were friendly at check in, gave us information, arranged a restaurant table, and booked an airport taxi. There's also a pool, though we didn't have time to try it. The hotel allows smoking in the lounges outside the rooms, and the smoke drifts into the rooms, which is unpleasant and unhealthy. Our room had no window, something I hadn't expected, so make sure to request one. Restaurant service was okay, but our child wasn't given a glass or cutlery, and we had to ask at the bar. The check in form asked for too much information and should be shortened to relevant questions. The taxi was late, and reception hadn't noticed, so we had to ask them to call and check. It eventually arrived 15 minutes late. It's an okay hotel, but keep your expectations in check.

They wax the floors with an oil based product once a week, and the kerosene smell fills the whole hotel. It gets into the rooms through windows that open onto the main area, with no other ventilation. I was stuck in the room smelling it all night. This could be very harmful if you have heart, kidney, or lung problems. The aesthetics aren't worth that noxious, dangerous smell. I wouldn't stay here or suggest it to anyone.

We only had one night here, but the room was great, with a comfortable bed, nice bathroom, and a sitting area just outside where we could relax. The restaurant attached to the hotel served an excellent dinner. We started with peanut soup, then had pan fried trout and llama mains with delicious sides. Dessert was delicious too, with two kinds of ice cream. One of the best meals we've had during our time in Bolivia.

The restaurant food was pretty decent and the service was good. The accommodations were just okay, though still better than anything around. I mean, you're in Uyuni, so keep your expectations in check.
