We spent 10 days at this villa/resort, and while we were asleep one night, burglars broke a lock, forced a window open, and unlocked a door from inside. They took our valuables, including phones, watches, laptops, and jewellery. It was a shock, and we were grateful no one was hurt. The gated resort has large sections of the rear compound used as a junkyard, which made it easy for the burglars to climb over the fence without being seen. Apparently, they waited in a neighbour’s parked car and watched the villas until the time was right. There is a security camera, but the owner told police it doesn’t actually work. When we told the resort owner and manager what had happened, they showed no compassion. Each time we spoke, they came up with a different story to claim the burglary was our fault. The owner seemed more concerned with protecting a false image than helping guests. I strongly advise against staying here. We found it dangerous, and the owner seemed interested only in his own gain.

The friendly, reliable staff and professional, courteous service were just what I’m used to from this chain’s sister hotels. Marriot Courtyard is also beautifully built and reasonably priced, with the best beach nearby and Flaningo Airport not far away.
