Kas Hamaka

I felt safe here and on the island as a solo traveler. Several restaurants are within walking distance, and the bakery is about seven minutes away. Check whether the restaurants need reservations. There are plenty of places to get into the ocean along the boulevard, just outside the front gate. The owners and staff communicated well and provided excellent service. The place is beautifully decorated and has everything you might need. The towels and bathroom rugs were soft, the bed was comfortable, and I enjoyed my stay.

The location made it easy to get around while still feeling quiet and welcoming. The property was clean, and the thoughtful details made my stay relaxing and comfortable. I spent 10 days at Kas Hamaka, my first time staying there and second visit to Bonaire, and felt at home as soon as I arrived. I enjoyed every part of it and will be back. Kas Hamaka has set the bar for my future visits.

All four of us felt at home in this quaint spot, with a lovely view of the water. It’s an exceptional place to immerse yourself in the Bonaire lifestyle. Audrey, our host, added so much to the stay. She’s kind and joyful, spends time with her guests, and shares her knowledge of the island so well. Thank you, Audrey.

The owners and hosts are a super friendly, lovely couple, and you should check out their other place, Casa Calexico. Our apartment was very spacious, with a superb view of the ocean and little Bonaire. The kitchen was nice and well equipped, though having exactly two of everything was a bit of a pain when staying with another couple.
