Saba Arawak Hotel

The owner was there each day, helpful and engaged, and I’d happily stay here again on my next trip to Saba. It’s a cute, clean, well-managed hotel at the edge of town, near the Mt. Scenery trail head. The location is great for walking into town to eat. Our balcony chairs were perfect, and the pool with loungers has a great ocean view. There’s a bar, fast internet, and a small kitchenette with a cooktop, cookware, utensils, and a big refrigerator. The hot water and AC worked just fine.

We enjoyed our stay. The rooms were good, and the staff were nice.

The room was very small, with a kitchenette that had a decent-sized refrigerator, kettle, coffee maker, hot plate, and utensils. There was no kitchen sink, just a bathroom sink, and no supplies like kitchen soap, paper towels, or coffee. The water heater kept tripping the breaker during showers, leaving us with cold water. Our balcony faced away from the ocean views, and the railing on the balcony side was badly damaged. At least in room 404, don’t lean on it. It was a short, roughly 10-minute walk into town, but the route felt a bit dangerous, especially at night, since the road was narrow and busy with several blind turns. Apart from the hotel restaurant, the other restaurants, stores, and amenities were in town.

Saba is beautiful for hiking and scuba diving, which is what we came for, and this hotel made the trip better. The location was perfect, and the manager and staff were very nice and helpful. I love a hotel with a good restaurant, and the food here was amazing.
