Pousada Santa Branca

My overall rating is “Good,” though a few details affected the impression. They charged R$ 60,00 for cleaning, but the apartment was dusty and all the pans were greasy. The kitchen could use better utensils: there was no slotted spoon or large frying pan, so we had to contact the person in charge to ask for them. The stove doesn’t light automatically, but there were no matches in the apartment and nobody told us to bring any. They also don’t provide dish soap, so we had to buy some and left most of it there. These details make a real difference to the final impression.

The apartment was clean and really well organized. A peaceful spot.

You need a car to get to Joao de Deus. Transportation around town is very expensive.

A very thoughtful host. The place is simple, but comfortable and practical.
