Pousada Girassol

The room photos looked nice, but the place I arrived at didn't match them or what the owner had said. Everything felt disorganized. The bedroom light switch had a bad connection, and the bathroom switch had no cover. Water from the leaking toilet ran onto the floor, and the old bathroom had a plastic curtain for the shower. I wouldn't recommend it, and I'm never going back.

My kids couldn't sleep because the neighboring room was so close and the guest there talked all night. The internet kept dropping, and the toilet clogged every time I used it. Awful. At breakfast, they wouldn't refill things unless you asked, even though we'd paid for it. You had to keep asking for this and that, while staff watched how you ate. There was no privacy with employees gathered around. I won't stay here again.

I had booked at girassol, but they placed me at pousada maresia because the other place was under renovation. That was fine with me, and I understand the reason. The pousada is nice, and the owners were very polite, but some repairs are needed to make the stay better. The shower gave electric shocks, the toilet seat was broken, and the window was jammed. The balcony glass panes were broken and rattled all night in the wind.
