I expected less, honestly, but the pousada delivered. It’s easy to get to and great value for the money, so I’d book a room here again. The owner is polite, really helpful with anything you need, and pretty funny too! The bedding, rooms, and bathrooms were spotless, cleaner than at plenty of five-star hotels. Well done.

The social area is great, and there’s a pool, but the heat was unbearable. The fan didn’t work, and there’s no air conditioning.

The owner was very attentive, though his wife seemed less welcoming and willing to help. The place has a nice atmosphere, but the rooms need work for what they charge. At R$500 a night, I expected more: there was a leak in the bathroom, poor finishes, a mattress that was already sagging, a very noisy room fan, and poor-quality bedding. I’ve stayed at pousadas near BH that were much better organized and cost half as much for a couple. Just a suggestion for improvement.
