The grounds are beautiful, full of mature plants, and the whole place has a relaxed feel. Reception was friendly and courteous, and they pointed us toward a massage. Our stay still fell short in several ways. The room was small and worn, and had a very unpleasant smell that stayed the whole time. We told reception and they brought air freshener, but it didn’t fix it. Wi-Fi was available, though it didn’t work in our room. Breakfast was very average, with rock-hard pão de queijo and very little fruit. I asked about tapioca, which most other restaurants offer, but it wasn’t available. Maybe we just had an unusual experience, given the other positive reviews, but for the price I expected much more from this pousada.

The garden is amazing, and waking up to toucans, parrots, ibis, and other birds is a special experience. The rooms are cozy, the staff are very friendly, and breakfast is very good.

It’s a very peaceful place, with a nice pool. Breakfast is simple but had what we needed, and the staff are polite and helpful. They also offer plenty of help finding your way to the tourist spots.
