Aloha Village Hotel

I loved all the little details here. It has a lovely beach feel, the hotel itself is beautiful, and the staff are so welcoming. Emerson and Kay were especially attentive to us.

The beach is a short walk from Pousada Aloha, with the Barracas a little farther on. That distance gives the place a peaceful feel while keeping the beach easy to reach. The hospitality made our stay in Icaraizinho, and the staff went out of their way with small favors: booking one of the town's top restaurants, keeping bicycles available for guests, and arranging things with the local laundromat for us. We felt safe because staff and guests wore masks in the shared areas, even though those spaces are outdoors. Aloha isn't beachfront, but we really enjoyed staying there.

The setting is beautiful, with wonderful landscaping, and the hotel has a naturalist-chic style. Things feel sustainable, elegant, and high quality. Our room was a very cozy, lovely chalet outside the main hotel. The linens and bathroom amenities were excellent, the shower was great, the personalized breakfast was a plus, and the Wi-Fi worked well despite the city's terrible mobile network. Staff were warm and attentive, quick to reply on WhatsApp, and the rooms are really cozy. Just be aware that the hotel is near a small marsh, and there are many around Icaraizinho. If you’re uncomfortable with little creatures like frogs, tree frogs, or geckos, another place may suit you better. The old air conditioners need repair or replacing because they’re very noisy. Without a car, the beach isn't that close, and there’s no Uber service in town. It rained a lot during our visit, and since the power is solar, one evening the shower water didn’t get hot.
