Pousada Melgaço

Samuel's service really stood out and made a difference during our stay. Breakfast was simple but tasty, though I think it could use more cereal options. The bathroom could use a few fixes, including better floor finishing and a towel holder. For the price, it was a good experience. I liked the pousada and would recommend it, and there was nothing that spoiled the stay.

We were welcomed and looked after very well, and the location is great, close to both the central square and the beach. The garden is well kept, the pool is nice, and our room was spacious and cute. It's a pleasant pousada for the price. Breakfast was basic but tasty.

The room and pool were clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and Samuel at reception was especially kind. When I complained about the awful, stiff sheets with no softness at all, he offered us a soft blanket to put over them. The breakfast was good, with tapiocas and scrambled eggs cooked to order. The decor throughout was lovely, so it was a shame about those terrible sheets. They really need replacing.

The pousada is peaceful and restful, much like the town itself. We spent our honeymoon here, and it was the right choice. The breakfast was very simple, but nearly everything was made fresh, and the table was beautifully set. The place was organized and clean, which made it even more pleasant. Adriano and Samuel made us feel welcome and comfortable. Adriano showed us around and told us about future plans for the suites. Samuel was so personable that we even ran into him elsewhere in town, always smiling. Their attention made a real difference. Congratulations to the team.
