The value for money is very good, and we’ll stay here again. It’s a simple pousada, around 150 meters from the beach, with restaurants and cafés nearby. The spacious rooms and bathrooms upstairs have a small kitchen. There’s no 24-hour reception: entry is by password, both at the pousada door and the room doors. Only two cars fit in the parking area out front; the actual parking lot is on another street. The only comfort issue for us was the TV, which didn’t pick up any channels, so we had to mirror a phone to watch anything.

Everything else was OK, and the room has a good bed plus a small kitchen with a few useful items for anyone trying to travel on a tighter budget. The walk to the beach is only three minutes, though the place doesn’t have a sea view. The simple breakfast included three kinds of juice, eggs made to order, two kinds of bread, and a soft cake. They could have served water too, that’s a basic item. There are only two parking spaces in front. Leaving the car on the street there might get you a ticket, while the actual lot is down a side street with loose sand that can make access difficult. The bathroom door wouldn’t close because the lock was broken. It wasn’t a problem for me, but it might bother someone else.

Blandy gave us all the information we needed for a good stay. The pousada is well located, though it isn’t on the beachfront, with a few little shops downstairs and a small restaurant across the street. The newer facilities worked well for our stay, and I recommend the place. I’d give it an 8. Access is handled with passwords and all payments are online, so there isn’t a traditional reception. There is a small room where Blandiny, the concierge and receptionist, can help you. Breakfast is fairly simple, without any luxuries. My only complaint is the bad smell from the room sink when you turn on the tap. I think it’s coming from the trap.
