Vila Flor Casa de Praia

The rooms are great: spacious, new, and clean, and the private pool and bathroom were clean too. The pousada’s food was delicious, and the staff were very attentive. I felt really good there and want to come back. Praia das Moitas is beautiful and not crowded, with delicious food, lovely people, and a very safe feel. The drawback is getting around. It’s not beachfront, and it takes a 10-minute walk to reach the nearest beach shack, Barraca da Queila, which is very good. Walking in the sun could be a problem with small children or an older person. There’s no sea view and you can’t hear the waves. There’s no other transport to the nearest shack or Icaraizinho, so you need to arrive with a rental car or rent a buggy for 700,00 per day. A quad bike costs the same, but per hour. Without transport, if you can’t walk, you’ll be stuck in your room, since the beach in front, praia melu, doesn’t even have shade.

We were a group of 18, and the experience was a mix. The kitchen team was fantastic, the dishes were generous, and everyone was very attentive. The rooms need maintenance. We ran into several problems: water outages, an air conditioner dripping onto the bed all night, a clogged bathroom drain, and in some rooms the hot shower didn’t work.

Our stay at Studio da Vila Flor was even more special than we expected. It brought together comfort, privacy, and nature in a calm, welcoming way, with quiet, breeze, good lighting, and details that showed how much care the team puts in. The private pool and breakfast served in the room made a real difference and helped us slow down. It’s also close to the beach. I highly recommend it!

The little private pool, shower, and hammock made the outdoor area especially pleasant. Vila Flor Moitas Studios is only a short walk from the beach, and the studios have comfortable rooms, spacious bathrooms with toiletries, a dining area, and a kitchen stocked well enough for making a meal. There’s parking too. If you’d rather not cook, you can order some dishes, including breakfast, on WhatsApp and the staff will bring them to your studio. It was a lovely surprise, and a great place to stay in Moitas. The one drawback is getting there: the local dirt roads have potholes and sandy patches.
