Hostel Gambôa

The host was very attentive, and the rooms were cozy. We had a really peaceful stay. The kitchen was very well equipped, and there are shops nearby, including a market, bakery, and snack bar. The location is good, less than 15 minutes from the center of Angra.

Wander made us feel very comfortable. The rooms are large, airy, and well ventilated, and the shared kitchen has all the utensils needed for everyday use. There are lots of beautiful beaches nearby. We left our wedding ring at the guesthouse, and Wander went to the post office to mail it back to us. I recommend HOSTEL GAMBOA! I hope to return soon.

We didn’t find ourselves missing anything, as the guesthouse has all the amenities you need. The room was spacious and airy, and the kitchen was well equipped. From the second-floor balcony there was a great sea view, and there’s also a laundry room. The location is great, just a few meters from a bakery, market, snack bar, and access to Rio-Santos. Mr. Wander was very friendly and attentive, and gave us tips for outings and information about food. One thing to keep in mind, though it wasn’t an issue for us, is that TIM and the hostel’s local internet provider have a very poor signal, which may be a problem for people who need to stay connected. If internet isn’t a priority, it’s an ideal place to stay with family in Angra dos Reis. ❤️

The Hostel Gamboa offers good value for travelers exploring the region. It’s about 6 km from the city center, but the location is convenient and easy to reach, with a peaceful feel away from the center’s bustle. Restaurants and bakeries nearby also made it easy to find meals. Wander greeted us warmly when we arrived, and his hospitality and attention to detail helped us feel welcome throughout the stay. Our room met expectations, with a clean, comfortable place to rest after a day out. For the facilities and services, the price was excellent. It was a pleasant, comfortable stay, and I recommend it to travelers looking for a quiet place in the area.
