Ocean Green Flats

The room was clean and had a nice view, but that wasn't enough to make up for the problems during my stay. I wouldn't come back or recommend the place. Getting around was difficult. It's about 50 minutes from Angra and 40 from Paraty, and the entrance is in an isolated area with poor signage. There's no gate attendant, so we had to get out of the car several times to open and close the gate. In the rain, there was a lot of mud and frogs around. The uphill drive to the parking area was hard, and the turn in was extremely tight. There was nobody at reception when we arrived, which made the staff seem unprepared. It was pouring, and I asked for an umbrella to get to the parking area along the uncovered route. They said they couldn't help because it was raining. I suggested they could at least toss it to a midway point, but they refused again, saying they couldn't leave reception. Breakfast was simple and repetitive, with no change over the three days we stayed.

I stayed over New Year's 2025/2026 and thought it was good value. The rooms have incredible sea views, and breakfast offers plenty of choices. The staff were very helpful. Getting into the parking area can be a little difficult if you have a low car.

The team were exceptional, and we loved our time here. The room was spacious, the bathroom very clean, and the sea view was incredible. From the pool area you can watch the sunrise, and you can also swim in the sea. Seeing turtles, dolphins, and fish close to the pool every day was another highlight. It's well placed for restaurants and beaches in the area. Just be aware that the stairs could be a problem for anyone with mobility issues. We'd happily recommend it to friends and come back.
