We booked this property from New Zealand for an upcoming trip to Brazil, but had to cancel when we couldn’t make the requested upfront payment from overseas. We offered to pay in cash on arrival or provide our credit card details, but neither option worked for them. The owner communicated politely and was helpful. The property looks beautiful, with lots of historic charm and character. It seems to be a small local business that doesn’t currently support international payment methods, so I’d say it’s better suited to guests from within Brazil. International travelers may run into payment difficulties. Kind regards.

I tried to stay at the pousada, but the service over WhatsApp was awful. I spoke with someone named Pâmela, who was quite rude and impatient when answering my questions, even though I was polite. Anyone dealing with customers should be more courteous and friendly. That’s what was missing here, and I want to record my dissatisfaction.
