I stayed on 13/05 and 14/05 and, unfortunately, had a poor experience. The attendants were attentive enough, and the location is very good, but the stay wasn’t worth it. We were arriving early on the 13th and leaving late on the 14th, and were told we had to book three nights, as if we were checking in on the 12th and leaving on the 15th. We arrived early and went to breakfast just as it opened. It was very limited. There were basic fruits like bananas and papaya, but the bread and cakes were hard and tasted and looked old. We didn’t eat breakfast there the next day. The room was okay and the bedding was comfortable, but the bath linens were poor quality. Although we had booked for two people, there was only one face towel in the room. I’d expect each guest to have one. There was no liquid soap dispenser, just small bars of soap. Three were left in the room: we put one by the sink for handwashing, and each of us used one to shower in the morning. When we came back from our outing in the afternoon, we had to ask for more soap and another face towel. I’d also asked the housekeeper in the hallway while she was starting to clean the floor, but apparently she forgot. They sent two bath towels by mistake when I asked for the other items. I didn’t complain and kept them, which turned out to be useful. The following day we had breakfast elsewhere and went out. When we got back in the late afternoon, the room hadn’t been cleaned at all, and even the bathroom trash was still there. Since we were about to leave, we didn’t complain. We asked for toilet paper, clean face towels, and a clean bath mat so we could shower and get ready to travel. We didn’t need to ask for bath towels because we still hadn’t used the extras they’d sent the day before. It took a while, but they brought what we requested. Given all this, I can’t recommend the hotel.

The only thing I can recommend is the location. If you’re staying in APARECIDA, there are better options. The daily rate was 500,00, which felt way out of line for what we got. Where I live, this kind of stay would cost at most 200,00. The building itself seemed decent, and the rooms were clean and comfortable, but we ran into a string of problems during our two-day stay. Our room wasn’t ready at check-in. We were in a group, and one room didn’t have a bed for one of the children. Reception told us children weren’t entitled to their own bed and had to share a single bed, and they wouldn’t provide even a mattress. There was a spare bed in another room, but when we suggested moving it, the receptionist told us to carry it ourselves because staff couldn’t take it. The shower enclosure didn’t seal, so it flooded the bathroom. We asked for the floor to be dried and were told that could only happen the next day. Service was terrible, and our room still had the previous guest’s trash in it. Breakfast had very few choices and food wasn’t replenished. They didn’t stick to the advertised opening time, and even when it did open, items were already missing. Staff said they wouldn’t be refilled. At checkout, we were also charged amounts that belonged to other guests. It was sorted out, but the lack of organization was obvious.

The hotel is right across from the basilica, with comfortable rooms and excellent service at breakfast. Reception staff could be more courteous, especially Sr. Edson, whose conduct stood out for the wrong reasons.

The staff were fantastic, breakfast was plentiful and varied, and I’d gladly return and recommend the place. The only reason I’m holding back a star is the sound insulation. Noise from outside can bother light sleepers. The beds were very comfortable, the rooms and bathrooms were spotless, and the shower was excellent, everything you need after a busy day in Aparecida. The hotel is very close to the Basilica’s side gate and right at the city entrance, which is a big plus with the heavy traffic in Aparecida.

The room and breakfast were very good, but the attendants showed little respect. When I arrived, someone made an inappropriate comment. I also left some belongings behind on 19/02. They said they’d send them on Monday (23/02), but still haven’t. They haven’t followed through on what they promised.
