Portal Palace Hotel

Top.

The location is excellent, but the hotel needs maintenance. The bathroom was awful: the toilet seat was broken and coming apart when I sat down, the shower stall wouldn't close, and the sink was leaking onto the floor. The mattresses in the room were old and soft.

The room was very small. We were in a triple room, but the beds were pushed together because there wasn't enough space. The blankets smelled strongly of sweat from early on, so I asked for clean ones. They weren't changed. After I kept insisting, they reluctantly gave me worn-out comforters and said they had no blankets to replace them with.

The location is perfect if you're going to the basilica. Our room smelled strongly of mold, probably because of the bathroom ceiling, though the bathroom itself was satisfactory and the bed was okay. Since it was on the second floor near the elevator and facing the street, there was a lot of noise. The street noise only died down in the early morning. Breakfast was just okay, with no juice and some other foods missing. Reception was also okay, but the receptionist gave me wrong information and said paying in installments would have no interest. It did.
