Santa Catarina Hotel

Great.

Nice.

I’ve never had a worse stay. The price was high for the service, and I barely slept. In the first room, it sounded like a motor was running. Opening the curtain faced an unfinished shaft with the other rooms’ heat exchangers, which made a lot of noise and even shook the wall behind the headboard. We insisted on another room around midnight. It was a little less bad, but on the night we needed a proper sleep, someone nearby turned on an air conditioner. I woke at 3:39 a.m. and didn’t get back to sleep. The double beds were made from two single mattresses pushed together, so it was impossible to sleep comfortably with my partner. Cleaning was mediocre. Breakfast was poor, with few choices, and food was left uncovered where little flies could land on it. The shower got hot, but the water came out like a hose and hurt my back. The towels were poor quality and didn’t dry us, and the blankets were bad too. Such a miserable stay.

From the outside, I had my doubts before going in, haha, but it turned out great. Everything was in order, the bed and bathroom were good, and the cleanliness was 100%. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were attentive. I loved it, well done.
