Pousada Peroba Rosa

My baby loved our stay. She seemed calmer, watched the birds, and fell asleep to the sound of water from the lagoon. The chalets felt cozy, clean, and very new, and everything was tidy and right on time. The staff were so attentive, capable, and friendly. Sr. José was a delight, and the care showed in all the little details. The food was refined and incredibly tasty too, compliments to the wonderful cooks. It's hard to put into words how perfect this pousada felt. The setup was unlike anything else and worth every cent. Whenever we think about traveling, this will definitely be our number one choice.

The meals were fantastic, and the place has great facilities for everyone, from kids to adults. The rooms were clean and smelled fresh, and the staff were polite and attentive. It's the best farm hotel I've had the chance to visit. Sensational!

The food was the highlight for me. It tasted homemade, with fresh ingredients and good seasoning, and the portions never left me feeling heavy. Each meal felt made for you, not churned out to fill a dining hall. The drinks were simple but well made, and the music in the shared area was at just the right volume. It's a place to rest, and when we need to recharge, it'll be our first choice. It isn't cheap, but I think it offers far more than similar places that are well known and charge two or three times as much. The style is rustic rather than luxurious, but very cozy. The team was efficient and caring without hovering. They were happy to chat when we wanted company, and quickly gave us privacy when we wanted it. They were especially sweet with my two daughters, a 6-month-old baby and a 5-year-old girl, which made a real difference. We loved the pousada. It gets its balance right, with quality throughout and no unnecessary fuss. After staying there, I wondered why we'd waited so long to go. One small suggestion: the children's activities could run a little longer, though that didn't take away from our experience.

The chalets are fairly spacious, and the bedding and towels are very high quality. The attendants were flexible in all sorts of ways, and every one of them was wonderful during my stay. The owner is quiet and humble, so he might walk right by and you wouldn't even realize he's the owner. There's a varied program that keeps you busy, especially if you have children. The pousada is beautiful, and the service is on another level. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all terrific, with especially delicious desserts. Every category gets top marks. The price may seem a little high, but you can be sure every cent is put to good use.
