My husband and I stayed at this hotel back in 2022. We were meant to stay at the hotel across from it, Kalamari, if I remember right, but just after we arrived in Fortaleza I got calls saying heavy rain had flooded it. They moved us to this hotel as a surprise. I was upset to later find out I’d paid more for Kalamari, and nobody refunded the difference. The room wasn’t great and felt abandoned. The door was in really bad shape, and at night the wind kept blowing it open and shut. My husband stuffed toilet paper into the gaps to stop it. The cleaner probably thought it was weird when we left, haha. Breakfast was very basic. The hotel is huge, but it’s missing care in the details and decor. The pool really is enormous. But while my husband and I were there, we noticed a guest staying in the room downstairs, right in front of the pool, wearing an electronic ankle monitor. He was with a few other people, and we didn’t feel like hanging around, so we went upstairs as soon as we saw them. We’re not usually ones to complain, but I’m mentioning these things here for someone responsible to look into.

The staff were friendly, polite, and quick to help throughout our stay. On arrival, we were welcomed extremely well, and the hotel even let us pay a difference to check in before noon, though our reservation began on the 18th after 12, the usual check-in time. We stayed from 18/02 to 24/02, although leaving before the end of the booking was our choice. We picked the hotel for its location. We wanted somewhere quiet and close to beaches we like, including Japão, Futuro, Prainha, and others. The people working there were a real strength, better than at many well known hotels. The room was a big letdown. It was basic, with a bed, a glass side table, a TV, a minibar, and a bathroom. The ceramic fixtures were very old, and there were lots of silverfish in the corners of the walls and ceilings. The water had a distinct smell, though I think that may have to do with the city’s infrastructure, so I don’t think it’s fair to blame the hotel for that. The physical condition of the place could still be better, especially given its wonderful setting. The pool area felt like a backyard pool, with few loungers but plenty of chairs. It was clean on our first day, but by day five it was dirtier, with beach sand in it. That’s understandable at a beach location, but it wasn’t cleaned that day. The pool also needs repairs. That didn’t stop us having fun, though it could look better. Breakfast was limited and simple, and they didn’t replenish it after a certain time. On our first day, we arrived late from our trip, near the end of breakfast hours, and ate what was left. On the other days we came earlier and ate well. It’s useful to know this is a simple breakfast. The sheets and towels were basic but clean, and the bed was only moderately comfortable. Our shower lost its hot water three times. After the third time, they moved us to another room. We stayed there, even though we had to keep the water flow low for it to heat up. For someone who lives in SP, that was challenging, haha. It felt like repairs were just patching things up. The second room looked better, but neither room made a good impression. Some warmer decor would help. Cleaning has to be requested at reception, and it was done as expected. But the hotel feels very closed in, with corridor windows shut, and without airflow an unpleasant smell lingers. We decided to leave between Thursday and Friday, even though only we and the staff were there. The breakfast quality had also dropped when there were just us and the employees, haha.

It’s well located near the beach, and the staff are polite. The price made it worthwhile, though I think there may be better places for a similar amount. Just be aware that it’s a very simple hotel, without much cozy decor. The pillows are low, and in my room there was a connecting door to another room, so I could hear the neighboring guests and didn’t have much privacy. The air conditioner was very noisy too. Breakfast was basic. The staff will make a few things on request, like tapioca, but anyone who likes more variety than the usual breakfast while traveling probably won’t be satisfied.

The staff were kind, polite, and quick to help, and the place was clean and organized. Breakfast was basic but had enough, and the price is good. Still, there are a lot of things that need work: stained walls, plastic curtains, no full-length mirror, and water from the shower area leaks onto the bathroom floor. The electric shower didn't heat properly, so I had to ask for help to get a hot shower. There's no elevator, even though it's only two floors, so you have to carry your bags upstairs. You also can't call reception from the room, you have to go downstairs or send a WhatsApp. If you only need somewhere to sleep and store your things and don't care about comfort, it may be fine. I wouldn't stay again because of those issues.

I only stayed for two days, but I would've happily spent longer. My ground-floor room looked out toward the pool, and everything in it was spotless, from the towels and bedding to the bathroom shower enclosure. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was simple but filling, with tapioca, omelets, juice, coffee, yogurt, fruit, and more. The cakes were especially good: I nearly ate both whole cakes during my stay, one corn cake and another I think was made with whole wheat flour. It's close to the beach, with parking out front and a small shopping center nearby for lunch or dinner.
