The WiFi was the one thing that brought the stay down. The hotel said it was a temporary issue, but it lasted our whole trip. I don’t think they took the complaint seriously, and an earlier review from six months before had mentioned poor WiFi too. Make sure it’s fixed before you book. It wasn’t a disaster, but their lack of concern is why I didn’t give five stars. I stayed here for a week with my partner, and I’d come back. The hotel is clean, breakfast is good quality, and the staff are very friendly, especially the room cleaners and breakfast room team. The pool is great for cooling off and very clean. There’s a busy road beside the hotel, but don’t let that put you off. Hotels on this part of the coast are all a walk from the beach, across the sand dunes, which was fine for me, though it’s good to know in advance. I liked seeing so many people exercising on the path outside early in the morning. I ran and walked there too. It’s well lit at night, and we felt safe. The coconuts sold by the vendors along the path are fresh and amazing value.

The staff made a real effort to make me feel welcome, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. It’s a fantastic hotel with a warm atmosphere and top-notch service. I’d happily come back and would recommend it for a getaway.

The WiFi really dragged down my rating. In some parts of the hotel it got close to 10 Mbps at best, but usually it was only 2-4 Mbps. In my room, evenings often meant less than 1 Mbps, so I couldn’t get a usable connection at all. The whole system and service contract need a major upgrade.

This was our second stay at Celi’s hotel, and we loved coming back. The breakfast is a big hit with my Brazilian mom, especially with live Brazilian jazz, and the food is great. Everyone was friendly and polite. Sil, who looked after our room, was especially kind and has such a radiant smile. Thanks so much for your help, Sil!

The location is awesome, and the staff are amazing. It’s a quiet hotel with a lovely atmosphere and decor, and everything looks new. The pool could use a more modern look and better cleaning. Breakfast was good, though I’d have liked more variety.
