We stayed for five days with my girlfriend. The sea view was good, and the morning staff were very friendly. It’s also close to brodway, Canoa Quebrada’s main entertainment street. There were quite a few problems, though. The bathroom flush didn’t work, and a leak left the bathroom soaked for about two and a half days before it was fixed. The internet was terrible. Our room, number 24, was at the end of the corridor by the kitchen, so people having breakfast made a lot of noise early in the morning. The “parking lot” fits only two cars. Other cars have to go on a narrow, nearly dead-end street, so staying here with a car isn’t worthwhile. The breakfast juice tasted very weak, probably because it had a lot of water added. There was plenty of sand on our room floor when we arrived. It wasn’t visible, but we could feel it walking barefoot. Since cleaning is only every two days, we had to put up with it for two days. When we raised the leak problem because it still hadn’t been resolved, one attendant said there was nothing else she could do and, arrogantly, “I did my part.”

Being about one block from Broadway and within walking distance of the beaches is a plus. The room was close to the street, though, and noisy all day, at night and early in the morning. The pousada has over 25 rooms but parking for only a few cars on the street out front. Our toilet wouldn’t flush, so we used a bucket for all three days. We weren’t offered compensation or even an apology. Breakfast was weak, with hard bread and few options.
