The garden is large and beautiful, and the pool was the only good part of the pousada for me. The chalets seem neglected and haven’t been maintained for a long time. The one we stayed in felt abandoned, though I can’t say if they’re all like that. I don’t mind a simple place, but cleanliness matters. The mezzanine upstairs was so dusty that sleeping there was impossible. The downstairs bed was broken, and I could feel the springs whenever I lay down or turned over. The pillow was much too hard, and both the bed and pillows smelled used, like they weren’t washed regularly. We ended up putting a sheet over them to sleep. The open bathroom design is something I like, but there was no hot water in the shower, and nothing anywhere warned us about that. The listing said there was air conditioning, but our chalet didn’t have it. The roof had lots of holes, so I imagine rain gets in. The toilet wouldn’t flush, and I had to ask for a bucket to pour water in every time we used it. Breakfast was very basic and simple. Don’t make the same mistake we did by choosing based on price. Pay a little more and stay somewhere else.

The location is peaceful and close to the main street, and the pool is great. Our room was comfortable, but without air conditioning we needed two fans to keep up. Breakfast was the downside: very few choices, and when we went, some items were still missing.

Talita, the owner, is a wonderful, thoughtful, and kind person, and her father Sr Flávio is great too. It’s an excellent place, and I highly recommend it.

I booked this pousada through the Booking app on 28/01/24 and said at the time that I could only arrive at 11 pm that night. I live far away and had to drive for hours to get there. When I arrived at the time I’d given, the pousada was completely closed. I rang the bell several times and waited outside for an hour, but nobody came. I made several calls and sent many messages without getting any reply. In the end, I had to sleep in my car. I paid for a service I never received because of the pousada’s irresponsibility. As of 30/01/24, I still hadn’t heard back. Booking didn’t refund me, and the pousada wasn’t responding to my contacts. I’ve already contacted my lawyer to sue them. I have photos, videos, and witnesses to what happened. I’m very upset and frustrated by the complete disregard and irresponsibility that left me sleeping outside after a three-hour trip. I don’t recommend this pousada at all. I also cited Article 49 of the consumer protection code, which says consumers can withdraw from a contract within seven days of signing or receiving the product or service when the purchase is made away from the business premises, especially by phone or at home.

The setting is lovely, with lots of trees, a big, great pool, and a handy location near Broadway. Breakfast was very complete, with lots of choices on the menu. What let the stay down was the room comfort. The mattresses need replacing, and the pillow was so high I couldn’t rest my head on it. Since it was a chalet, I expected some utensils and a large mirror. I even missed having a clothesline to hang towels. Other than the room comfort, everything was great.
