The place itself is excellent, and they did let me know when I left a flip-flop behind. I went back a week later to get it from Lucas. But we booked based on the photos and were put in a room that looked nothing like them. We asked to switch and said we’d pay the difference, but nobody replied through Booking, and manager Lucas said it was impossible because we’d booked through Booking. That didn’t feel honest or welcoming. I wouldn’t stay there again.

The owners’ care really came through in the little things. There was a guide in the room with useful tips for Canoa Quebrada, from restaurants and tours to getting around. The breakfast was delicious, and we could enjoy it with a beautiful sea view. Our room was spotless and smelled nice, with lovely bedding, pillows, and towels. It was cozy and thoughtfully decorated, and even had a hammock with hooks already set up. The air conditioning was quiet and worked well, and the electric shower had great pressure and plenty of hot water after a beach day. The pousada is right across from the beach, and Broadway is an easy walk of less than 500 meters away. A wonderful stay, with comfort and attention to detail throughout. I’d happily recommend it.

We stayed in the Recanto dos Sonhos chalet, which had a private whirlpool, cooler, minibar, TV, cutlery, bed linen and towels, and plenty more. It was really well equipped. The garden was lovely and cozy, with a gorgeous sea view and plenty of nice spots for photos. The location is close to Brodway, restaurants, beach stalls, and other sights. Service was attentive from booking through checkout, and breakfast was included and delicious, with tapioca and couscous made fresh.

We went in September 2024, though I’m only posting this now. My husband and I stayed in the Recanto dos Sonhos chalet, and it really was a dream. It was cozy, and I loved the chalet idea. We had a quiet night with no outside noise, and the air conditioning, tub, and shower all worked well. Everything seemed very clean. The hosts welcomed us warmly and gave us great restaurant and tour tips, so we didn’t have to search around ourselves. We felt completely at ease. My husband and I still think about the place, and I hope we can return.
